Reddit gets excited about history’s ridiculous and weird large scale projects that #failed

History is full of spectacular project failures—like the Great Emu War, where Australia literally lost to birds, or the time the U.S. tried to train bats to drop bombs (yes, really). These mismanaged projects burned through time, money, and credibility, proving that a bad plan is often worse than no plan at all. Before we dive into the best project management tools and strategies in this issue of MO-FLOW, we’ve got some quick-hit trivia on history’s most ridiculous large-scale failures as told by netizens.

⚛️Plans for Quantum Computing in Software and more
Companies like SAP are exploring quantum computing to enhance enterprise software functionalities, particularly in complex calculations and supply chain management.
SaaS might feel like a convenient shortcut, but it’s not the full control you deserve. BYOC (Bring Your Own Cloud) flips the script, giving you back ownership while keeping the perks of the cloud. Curious how? TheNewStack breaks it all down in this must-read.
Airtable’s new feature release: New List layout pages now have a page-level hierarchy, allowing users to create dropdown filters on any table within the hierarchy.

Chasity’s favorite project

Hi guys! I wanted to share one of my favorite projects I completed for a company. Actually, it’s where I work now. When I came onboard, I was tasked with handling the events and space rentals since there seemed to be cracks in their process. They were already using Airtable to gather rental requests but were missing communications, forgetting about tasks and some requests altogether. The process wasn’t very complicated in how they needed things to go, so after observing and asking questions, I was able to build an interface in Airtable that would
never lose a rental request
added features that could automate creating the contracts and invoices
keep it all laid out for the boss
Now they don’t miss any rental requests or forget to send or collect contracts. Seeing the relief and amazement on the team’s face was incredibly fulfilling to me.
